Interest Groups

At the heart of every u3a are the interest groups organised and coordinated by our members. These take place various times and frequency. Some groups meet in members homes or hired venues or getting out and about depending on the activity, topic and requirements of the group. We learn together while having fun and every member is encouraged to take an active part in group activities and share their interests. Why not join as many as you like.

Would you like to join a group? We have a variety of groups available at Wessington u3a please see the list below. Your annual subscription allows access to all groups but costs may vary between types of activities. Many groups are free, but others may include sharing the cost of room hire, refreshments or entrance fees.

How do I become involved in a group? Please visit the individual group pages and contact the Group Coordinator to ensure a warm welcome and check there is space within the group.

A New Group has been created.
Have a look:

We have an arrangement whereby Wessington Members can join the groups of some other u3as in our Network. See the Network page for more information. You can also join in with activities organised by our Northumbria u3a Region.

New Group?

If you have any ideas for a new group, please contact Wessington committee. A group can be organised and run by one person, a group or a team of friends.

Organised Trips

Organisers of trips/visits should consider if participants should submit a contact name(s) to be used in the case of emergency.

A digital copy of the Emergency Contact form is available, or a paper copy can be arranged if you prefer.
