Important Notice

As it is proving very difficult to find a day/date on which many members could attend Art Appreciation I’ve decided, after consultation with some members to stop monthly meetings at the moment. 

I’m suggesting that if anyone knows of art events or exhibitions they think would interest others that they post the details so people can arrange to meet up for that. 

Beyond Van Gogh at the Newcastle Arena. An immersive experience is coming to Newcastle in July. A blend of art, light and sound transforming the Arena into a world of colour and movement. The experience includes more than 300 of Van Gogh's celebrated works.

When: 12th July to 9th August 2026. Tickets £16 -£45.

New exhibition - Rebel Women of Sunderland

At the Museum & Winter Gardens in Sunderland. The exhibition celebrates extraordinary local women, past and present by Kathryn Robertson. On until 1st August 2026. The exhibition is free. More details can be found here:
