Since we as individuals became supporters of this charity we have made 62 loans totaling £8,610.23 (don’t ask where the 23p comes from) to entrepreneurs in a variety of countries. 273 entrepreneurs have been helped and with their families - that means 979 people - and 160 jobs have been created. Our current loans are to Roselito in the Philippines, Dzigbodi Women’s collective in Togo, Malanda 16 (women) in Malawi, Yan in Cambodia, Linthembwe 19 (women) in Malawi and Tazara B (women) in Zambia.

Malanda have just finished paying off their loan and with other payments we have nearly £500 in the pot to lend out again.

I’ll soon be asking those individuals who have contributed to this scheme if they’d like to choose an entrepreneur or two to support. If you’d like to contribute personally just give me a donation at the next meeting. Peter 04/03/2024
